ICC World Cup 2019 - Pakistan vs West Indies

At Trent Bridge, the second game of this tournament also ended tamely in a one sided rout, as the Carribean chin music of short & back of the length pacy attack decimated the much touted Pakistani batting to shreds, & but for the last wicket partnership of 22 runs, the team total could've ended in a dismal double digit - the final score being 105..... with Gayle leading from the front, Windies wrapped up the chase in just under 14 overs, losing three wickets.
The Pakistani batting which had scored 300+ runs just two weeks ago on the same pitch against mighty England, looked in a hurry today & completely imploded against a disciplined Windies attack which echoed memories of the 1980's pace & short stuff. Oshane Thomas took 4 for 27 in his first World Cup match, while Jason Holder & Andre Russel scalped 5 between them to dismiss Pakistan to their second lowest World Cup total of 105.
The Windies in reply, had Gayle score a quickfire 50 to remove any doubts at the top, hammering bowlers at will & then Pooran slapped Wahab around, ending the game with a massive six to etch out a 7 wicket victory.

A lot of soul searching for the Pakistanis, while the West Indies would take a lot of confidence in their abilities from this massive win.
