World Cup 2011 : India vs Netherlands...

India took on Netherlands at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium, Delhi, clearly looking at a win to cement place in the quarterfinals. Borren won the toss for Netherlands & elected to bat in a sluggish pitch. The watchful batting paid dividends, as the score crossed 50 runs in the 14th over, with out a loss. However, as spin was introduced, Piyush Chawla claimed Szwarczynski immediately, with the score at 56 for 1. Baressi got out soon after & Doeschate also did not last long, as the innings started to stutter. it was 100 for 4 in the 30th over & 151 for 8 in he 43rd over. Captain Borren used the long handle to hit out & Bukhari to chipped in for the 9th wicket to take the score to 189 all out in the 47th over.
In bowling Zaheer, as usual was accurate & quick, claiming 3 for 20 runs, while Yuvi & Chawla chipped in with two wickets apiece.

The chase looked easy & simple, but the Indians made quite a heavy weather of the same. Sehwag got out in the 8th over, for 39 in 26 deliveries & Sachin left in the 11th over for 27 off 22 deliveries. Both scoring quickly but did not last long. Pathan, Gambhir & Kohli too left after making decent starts, as the innings stood at 139 for 5 in the 24th over. Finally, Yuvi along with Captain Dhoni took the team to victory in 37 overs, for 5 wickets, as Yuvi got his successive fifty, as Dhoni laboured to keep ends in control.
The victory takes India to the top of the group B, & assures the quarterfinal berth.

Man of the Match : Yuvraj Singh for his 51 unbeaten runs in 73 balls & 2 wickets haul while bowling. Satisfactory & decent but not really illuminating, as a performance.
